Gideon Webster Spinney

Gideon was born on March 24th, 1859 in St. George, New Brunswick. Gideon's father was Joseph L. Spinney and his mother was Ann Jane Steen. His paternal grandparents were James S. Spinney and Martha (Anne) Lowe; his maternal grandparents are James Steen and Ruth Crozier. He had eight brothers and four sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named John, Robert, George, Joseph, James, Fred, Melvin, Chester, Jane, Mary, Annie, Maggie and Spinney. He was the fourth oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 60 on November 3rd, 1919 in California.
