Joseph Walter Spinney

Joseph was born on March 6th, 1870 in St. George, New Brunswick. Joseph's father was Joseph L. Spinney and his mother was Ann Jane Steen. His paternal grandparents were James S. Spinney and Martha (Anne) Lowe; his maternal grandparents are James Steen and Ruth Crozier. He had eight brothers and four sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named John, Robert, Gideon, George, James, Fred, Melvin, Chester, Jane, Mary, Annie, Maggie and Spinney. He was the nineth oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 78 on December 28th, 1948 in Humbolt, California.
