Olwyn Warland Dow

Olwyn was born on April 22nd, 1836 in New Hampton, Belknap County, New Hampshire. Olwyn's father was Levi Dow and his mother was Hannah Goss Drake. His paternal grandparents were Levi Dow and Abigail Godfrey; his maternal grandparents are Deacon Nathaniel Drake and Deborah. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Hosea, Sumner, Nathaniel, Mary, Tirzah and Leonora. He was the third oldest of the seven children.

- Olwyn went to California in 1858 and 1863. He returned in 1865 to Canterbury, New Hampshire, settling down as a farmer.
