Samuel Houston Beene 
Samuel was born on February 13th, 1846. Samuel's father was William W. Beene and his mother was Isabella (Patton) Beene. His paternal grandparents were Lemuel Rufus Beene and Sarah (Sally) Beene. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Russell, "Samuel", Reuben, William, James, Thomas, Obadiah, Sarah , Martha and Ida. He died at the age of 77 on May 15th, 1923.General Notes
Enlisted in the Confederate States of America army on January 10, 1863, serving in Company "G" Madison's Regiment, Lanes Brigade, Tom Green's Division of the cavalry and served until the end of the war.
