James Knox Polk Beene 
James was born on December 9th, 1842. James' father was William W. Beene and his mother was Isabella (Patton) Beene. His paternal grandparents were Lemuel Rufus Beene and Sarah (Sally) Beene. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Russell, "Samuel", Reuben, William, Samuel, Thomas, Obadiah, Sarah , Martha and Ida. He died at the age of 57 on August 14th, 1900.General Notes
