Kitty was born in 1882 in Tweed River.1  Kitty's father was William McLeod and her mother was Hannah McLennan.  Her paternal grandparents were John McLeod and Christina McDonald; her maternal grandparents were Farquhar McLennan and Janet McKenzie. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Farquhar, John, Alexander, James, William, Kenneth, Christina and Christina.  She was the second youngest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 75 in 1957 in Brisbane, Queensland.2
