Teresa was born on March 29th, 1891 in Leabeg.1  Teresa's father was John Flanagan and her mother was Honora Larkin.  Her paternal grandparents were Patrick Flanagan and Mary Byrne; her maternal grandparents were James Larkin and Mary Garvey. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Patrick, James, Ned, Michael Joseph, Mary Jane, Eleanora, Catherine, Susan, Bedelia and Honoria.  She was the second youngest of the eleven children.
