János Joannes Pozsik

János was born on February 3rd, 1858 in Bekölce and his christening took place there on February 4th, 1858 conducted by the priest.¹   His godfather was Pós János and his godmother was Kormos Erzsébet.  János' father was István (Stephanus) Pozsik and his mother was Terézia Czifra.  His paternal grandparents were Pozsik and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Mátyás Mathias Czifra and Julianna Kormos. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Lajos, István, Ágoston, Katalin and Veronika.  He was the oldest of the six children.
