Katalin was born on March 5th, 1871 in Bekölce and her christening took place there on March 5th, 1871 conducted by the priest.¹   Her godfather was Dorkó Albert and her godmother was Dudvik ?? Julianna.  Katalin's father was István (Stephanus) Pozsik and her mother was Terézia Czifra.  Her paternal grandparents were Pozsik and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents were Mátyás Mathias Czifra and Julianna Kormos. She had four brothers and a sister, named János, Lajos, István, Ágoston and Veronika.  She was the second youngest of the six children.
