Victoria was born in 1840.  Victoria's father was Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg & Gotha and her mother was Victoria (Queen of England).  Her paternal grandparents were Ernest I (Duke of Saxe-Coburg & Gotha) and Louise of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg; her maternal grandparents were Edward (Duke of Kent & Strathearn) and Victoria (Princess of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld). She had four brothers and four sisters, named Edward VII, Alfred, Arthur, Leopold, Alice, Helena, Louise and Beatriz.  She was the oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 61 in 1901.
