Mary was born in 1082.  Mary's father was Malcolm III “Great Chief” (King of Scots) and her mother was Margaret of Wessex.  Her paternal grandparents were Duncan I “The Deseased” (King of Scots) and Suthen; her maternal grandparents were Edward “The Exile” and Agatha. She had three brothers and a sister, named Edgar, Alexander I, David I and Matilda (Edith).  She was the second youngest of the five children. She had a half-brother named Duncan II.  She died at the age of 34 in 1116.
