Lora was born in 1653.  Lora's father was Alexander Standish and her mother was Sarah Alden (Standish).  Her paternal grandparents were Myles Standish and Barbara Mullens or Allen; her maternal grandparents were John Alden and Priscilla Mullins (Alden). She had three brothers and four sisters, named Miles, Ebenezer, David , Lydia, Mercy, Elizabeth and Sarah.  She was the oldest of the eight children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas, Ichabod and Desire.  She died at the age of 72 in August 1725.
