Adam's father was Robert Hennings and his mother was Susan (Susannah) Twist. His maternal grandparents were Jonathan Twist and Ann (Nancy) Lomax. He had a brother named Henry. He was the older of the two known children. He was adopted by Jonathan Twist & Ann (Nancy) Lomax.
