Thomas' father was Emanuel Stocks and his mother was Susanna (Hannah) Wood.  His paternal grandparents were Joshua Stocks and Elizabeth Bingley. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named Isaac, Peter, Joseph, Benjamin, Joseph, Emanuel, Ruth, Michael, Mary, Susanah, Martha and Elizabeth.  He died at 6 months old in May 1777 in Kirkheaton.  He was buried on May 23rd, 1777 in Kirkheaton.¹
