Mary Mather

Mary was born on September 1st, 1796 in Withnell and her baptism took place on September 25th, 1796 at St. Laurence (Chorley).¹

Mary's father was Ralph Mather and her mother was Ann Clarkson. Her paternal grandparents were James Mather and Esther Mason; her maternal grandparents were Peter Clarkson and Ann Constantine. She had three brothers and five sisters, named James, John, Alexander, Jane, Sarah, Betty, Peggy and Ann. She was the third oldest of the nine known children. She died at the age of 63 on October 29th, 1859 in Withnell. Her burial was on October 29th, 1859 in Withnell.²
