James Mather

James' father was Ralph Mather and his mother was Ann Anderton. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Margaret Kellett. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, Ralph, Ann, Betty, Elizabeth and Mary. He was the third oldest of the seven children.
