James Mather

James was born in 1738 in Heath Charnock and his baptism took place on June 11th, 1738 in Rivington.¹²

Birth Notes

James' father was Ralph Mather and his mother was Ann Anderton. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Margaret Kellett. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, Ralph, Ann, Betty, Elizabeth and Mary. He was the third oldest of the seven children.
