Margaret was born in 1664 in Lower Darwen and her baptism took place on December 23rd, 1664 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Blackburn).1  Margaret's father was Ralph Haworth and her mother was <unknown>. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Abraham, Ralph, Lawrence, Jenet, Ann and Jane.  She was the third youngest of the seven children.
