Abraham was born on April 17th, 1654 in Lower Darwen and his baptism took place on April 17th, 1654 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Blackburn).1  Abraham's father was Ralph Haworth and his mother was <unknown>. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Ralph, Lawrence, Jenet, Ann, Margaret and Jane.  He was the oldest of the seven children.
