George Battarbee

George was born in 1802 in Malpas and his baptism took place there on February 22nd, 1802.¹

George's father was George Batarbee and his mother was Mary Richards. His paternal grandparents were John Batterbury and Elizabeth Kempster; his maternal grandparents were Richard Richards and Anne Phythian. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Richard, Thomas, Anne and Mary. He was the third oldest of the five children.

General Notes
- George moved around Cheshire a little. He was born in Malpas and lived there till 1829. After Joseph was born they moved to Cuddington for 5 years, and then to Chorlton, Cheshire.
  
  In 1851 George was an Executor of his cousin Richard Mullock's will. George was a farmr of 185 acres at Malpas.
