William was born in 1816 in Illinois.1   William's father was Evert VanVickle and his mother was Sarah White.  His paternal grandparents were Evert VanVickle and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Benjamin White and Susannah Justus. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Benjamin, Enoch, Jackson, John, VanVickle, Elizabeth, Susan and Sarah (Sally).  He was the third oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 38 in 1854 in Craig, Holt County, Missouri.  He was buried in Craig, Holt County, Missouri.



William's family

William and Nancy were married in a religious ceremony on September 23rd, 1838 in Vermilion County, Illinois.  They had seven sons and a daughter, named Andrew, Sebastion, John, Jacob, Thomas, Evert, Billy and Luvenia.
