Evert was born in 1790 in Virginia.  Evert's father was Evert VanVickle and his mother was <Unknown>. He had five brothers named Absalum, Abraham, Robert, Aaron and Daniel.  He died at the age of 62 in 1852 in Holt County, Missouri.

Evert and Sarah were married in a religious ceremony on November 26th, 1809 in Ross County, Ohio.1   They had five sons and four daughters, named Benjamin, Enoch, William, Jackson, John, VanVickle, Elizabeth, Susan and Sarah (Sally).
