Estella was born on September 25th, 1879 in Kentucky.1   Estella's father was William Henry Shinaut and her mother was Susan Alice Hix.  Her paternal grandparents were Rueben Shinaut and Eleanor Franklin; her maternal grandparents were Hix and <Unknown>. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Charles, David, Earl, Joseph, Mary and Ethel.  She died at the age of 45 on March 2nd, 1925 in Petersburg, Boone County, Nebraska.

Estella and Samuel were married on October 13th, 1897 in Fairfax, Atchison County, Missouri.
