Clara was born on April 13th, 1911.1   Clara's father was August A Gripka and her mother was Martha Bruenn.  Her paternal grandparents were Jacob Gripka and Mary Daus; her maternal grandparents were August Bruenn and Regina. She had five brothers and six sisters, named John, Joseph, Jerome, Sisbert, Lawrence, Agnes, Frances, Rose, Fridoline, Dorothy and Ruth.  She was the fourth youngest of the twelve children.  She died as an infant, Congenital malformation of back of head, at 1 months old on May 13th, 1911 in Pierce City, Lawrence County, Missouri.  She was buried on May 14th, 1911 in Pierce City, Lawrence County, Missouri.1 1
