John Heffernan

John was born in 1898 in Co Tipperary.  John's father was William Heffernan and his mother was Mary St John.  His paternal grandparents were John Heffernan and Mary Cody; his maternal grandparents were St John and <Unknown>. He had five brothers and four sisters, named William, Patrick, Thomas, James, Daniel, Mary, Kate, Ellen and Norah.  He was the second youngest of the ten children. He had a half-sister named Maggie.  He died at the age of 54 in 1952 in Manchester.
