Wilhelmina was born on September 10th, 1820 in Zwolle and her baptism took place there on September 13th, 1820.1  Wilhelmina's father was Johannes Martinus Volk(e)ring and her mother was Lubertha Barbara We(e)link.  Her paternal grandparents were Jan Wessel(s) Volkering and Euphemia Maria Jöring (Joring(s)); her maternal grandparents were Jacob Klaas Welink and Maria Elisabeth van den Broeke. She had two brothers and nine sisters, named Gerrit Jan Wessel, Jacobus, Jacoba Maria, Johanna Geziena, Johanna Geziena, Geertruida, Gerridina, Gerridiena, Johanna Gesina, Gerridina and Martha.  She was the fourth oldest of the twelve children.  She died at the age of 61 on October 12th, 1881 in Zwolle.1
