Maria van der Schalij 
Maria was born in 1788 in Dordrecht and her baptism took place there on October 19th, 1788.1 Maria's father was Schalk Corneliszn van der Schalie and her mother was Neeltje Woutersdr de Beer. Her paternal grandparents were Cornelis Corneliszn van der Schalie/Schally and Aeltje of Alida Cornelis van der Borcht of Burg of Borg; her maternal grandparents were Wouter Pietersz de Beer and Maria Anthonisd Swaans. She had six brothers and a sister, named Cornelis, Schalk, Wouter, Wouter, Gerrit, Gerret and Neeltje. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children.-
