Jacomyntje was born on September 22nd, 1759 in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess, NY, USA.  Jacomyntje's father was Simeon Freer and her mother was Catrina Van Benschoten.  She had six brothers and four sisters, named Elias, Petrus, Simon, Jonathan, Casparus, Johannes, Sara, Elizabeth, Catherine and Geertje.  She is the seventh oldest of the eleven children.
