Dorothy was born in 1923.  Dorothy's father was William Llewellyn Buckler and her mother is Louisa Elizabeth Fox.  Her paternal grandparents were Josiah Buckler and Mary Allender. She has two brothers and three sisters, named William, Samuel, Mary, Louisa and Margaret.  She is the second youngest of the six children.
