Mary was born in 1857.  Mary's father was William Allender and her mother was Mary Jones.  Her maternal grandparents are William Jones and Mary Thomas. She had a brother and three sisters, named William, Catherine, Hannah and Jane.  She was the second youngest of the five children.  She died at the age of 73 in 1930.
