Mary was born in 1735 in Goxhill, Lincoln, England and her christening took place there on January 8th, 1735.  Mary's father was Edward Rack and her mother was Elizabeth. She had three brothers named William, Thomas and Thomas.  She was the second youngest of the four children. She had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Thomas, John, Ann, Mary and Elizabeth.
