He had two brothers and five sisters, named William, Martin, Sarah, Mary, Frances, Harriet and Anne. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He died due to Tonsillitis 8 days, Failure of Heart at the age of 64 on November 12th, 1891 in West Ella Cottage, Old Harrow Road, Willesden, Middlesex, England. He was buried on November 17th, 1891 in Willesden Old Cemetery, Willesden, Middlesex, England.²³
