Mr Rippingale Collar

Rippingale was born in 1758 in Gestingthorpe, Essex, England.

Birth Notes
- His Dob is rough, based on age of his wife Judith. He fals into a gap were most of his records are missing.

Rippingale's father was Mr John Collar and his mother was Mrs Elizabeth ? NK. His paternal grandparents were Mr John Collar and Mrs Frances Rippingale. He was an only child. He died at the age of 50 in 1808 in Harlow, Essex, England. He was buried on May 8th, 1808 in St Mary & St Hugh, Harlow, Essex, England.¹

Death Notes
- Note: his burial is not listed in the Harlow book. It is listed in the Bishops Transcript book D/CR 173 at the Essex record office. The St Mary and St Hugh Books were stolen from the church and the oldest book only contains entrys from the clerks notebooks and family bibles, and is thus incomplete. Probably the same reason why I cannot find his marriage or the baptisms of his children.

General Notes
- Occupation: Brick Maker (Potters Street, Harlow). 1797 Harlow census shows two unaccounted females residing in his house. Possibly daughter who have married in Harlow and thus have missing records.
