George_VI was born on December 14th, 1895 in York Cottage,Sandringham,Norfolk,England.  George_VI's father was George_V Windsor and his mother was Mary_of_Teck (May).  His paternal grandparents were Edward_VII Wettin and Alexandra of_Denmark "Alix"; his maternal grandparents were Francis and Mary Adelaide "Fat_Mary".  He was the second of six children.  He had four brothers and a sister, named Edward_VIII, Henry William Frederick, George Edward Alexander, John Charles Francis and Mary.  He died at the age of 56 on February 6th, 1952 in Sandringham,Norfolk,England.  His burial was on March 11th, 1952 in St. George Chap.,,Windsor,England.
