William_I of_Germany was born on March 22nd, 1797 in Berlin,Germany.  William_I of_Germany's father was Frederick William_III and his mother was Louise of_Mecklenburg- Strelitz.  His paternal grandparents were Frederick William_II and Frederica of_Hesse- Darmstadt.  He was the second of ten children.  He had four brothers and five sisters, named Frederick William_IV, Charles, Ferdinand, Albert of_Prussia, Charlotte of_Prussia, Frederica, Alexandrine, Louisa of_Prussia and Daughter Stillborn.  He died at the age of 90 on March 9th, 1888 in Berlin,Germany.
