Frederick William_II was born on September 25th, 1744 in Berlin.  Frederick William_II's father was Augustus William and his mother was Louise of_Brunswick.  His paternal grandparents were Frederick William_I and Sophia Dorothea Hanover.  He was the oldest of four children.  He had two brothers and a sister, named Frederick Henry Charles, George Charles Emil and Wilhelmine.  He died at the age of 53 on December 16th, 1797 in Marmorpalais,Potsdam.
