William_II Rufus was born in Normandy,France.  William_II Rufus' father was William_I the_Conqueror and his mother was Matilda of_Flanders.  His paternal grandparents were Robert the_Devil and Herleva; his maternal grandfather was Baldwin_V of_Flanders.  He was the sixth of ten children.  He had three brothers and six sisters, named Robert Curthose, Richard, Henry_I Beauclerc, Adela, Constance, Cecilia of_Holy_Trinity, Agatha, Adeliza a_nun and Matilda.  He died on August 2nd, 1100 in New Forest.  His burial was in Winchester,Cathedral.
