Robert Curthose was born in 1054 in Normandy,France.  Robert Curthose's father was William_I the_Conqueror and his mother was Matilda of_Flanders.  His paternal grandparents were Robert the_Devil and Herleva; his maternal grandfather was Baldwin_V of_Flanders.  He was the oldest of ten children.  He had three brothers and six sisters, named Richard, Henry_I Beauclerc, William_II Rufus, Adela, Constance, Cecilia of_Holy_Trinity, Agatha, Adeliza a_nun and Matilda.  He died at the age of 80 on February 10th, 1134 in Cardiff Castle.
