George was born in 1892.  George's father was Louis of_Battenberg and his mother was Victoria Alberta of_Hesse.  His paternal grandparents were Alexander of_Hesse and_the_Rhine and Julia of_Battenberg von_Hauke; his maternal grandparents were Louis_IV of_Hesse and Alice Maud Mary.  He was the third of four children.  He had a brother and two sisters, named Louis of_Burma, Louise Alexandra and Alice of_Battenberg.  He died at the age of 46 in 1938.
