Caroline was born in 1747.  Caroline's father was Frederick_V and her mother was Louisa Hanover.  Her paternal grandparents were Christian_VI and Sophie Magdalene; her maternal grandparents were George_II Hanover and Caroline of_Ansbach.  She was the third of five children.  She had two brothers and two sisters, named Christian, Christian_VII, Sophia Magdalena and Louise.  She had a half-brother named Frederick.  She died at the age of 73 in 1820.
