Albert was born on August 4th, 1854 in Belgen Canton, Switzerland.  Albert's father was John Liechti and his mother was Rosalia Caroline Lehman.  He had six brothers and four sisters, named Ernest, Charlies, John, Adolf, Otto, Hugo, Emma, Bertha, Amelia and Ida.  He was the oldest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 15 on September 10th, 1869 in Belgen Canton, Switzerland.
