Charles W Balfanz

Charles was born on November 10th, 1871 in Honey Ckeek, WI. Charles' father was John Wilhelm Balfanz and his mother was Alvina Springstroh. His paternal grandparents were Martin Wilhelm Balfanz and Caroline Kline. He had five brothers and two sisters, named William, Henry, George, Edward, John, Anna and Lydia. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 78 on June 18th, 1950 in Prairie Du Sac, WI. The funeral took place on June 21st, 1950. His body disposition is not known on June 21st, 1950 in Sauk City Cemetary.

- Charles was the first child of John and Alvina Springstroh Balfanz. Charles was born on November 10,, 1871 at Honey Creek, WI. Chalres was a farmer and later a carpenter for a lumber yard and worked as a fireman.
  
  Charles met Katherine Kaugman. She was born on January 2, 1881. She was Catholic. He was Lurtheran. He converted to Catholocism. They were married on April 24, 1900 at Honey Creek, WI. Because Charles had converted to Catholicism, and married in the Catholic Church, his mother, Alvina, did no like Katherine (Kate). Years later, she learned to like her very much.
  
  Charles and Katherine lived in a house in Prairie du Sac, WI. Charles and Katherine had four children.
  
  Charles died on June 18, 1950 at his home in Prairie du Sac, WI., following an extended illness. He was a member of the St. Alysious Catholic Church and the Modern Woodmen. Funeral Services were held on June 21, 1950, at the church and interment was at the Sauk City Cemetary.
  
  Katherine dies at 12:30 a.m. on December 30, 1970 in Saik City, WI. Katherine was burried on her 90th birthday. Barth Charles O'Loughlen, her grandson, was born on her 60th birthday.

They had two sons and two daughters, named Victor, Russel, Ethel and Catherine . There are no more children.

Ethel was born on May 4th, 1901 in Madison, WI. She died at the age of 86 on June 28th, 1987.

Victor Balfanz
Victor was born on August 14th, 1904 in Madison, WI. He died at the age of 58 on October 24th, 1962.

Catherine Marie Balfanz
Catherine was born on February 4th, 1912 in Madison, WI. She died due to natural causes or old age at the age of 78 on January 3rd, 1991 in Madison, SD. Her burial was in St. Thomas Catholic Cemetary.

Russel John Balfanz
Russel was born on August 25th, 1917 in Sauk City, WI. He died at the age of 72 on February 2nd, 1990 in Merrimal, WI. His burial was on February 5th, 1990 in St. Aloysius Cemetary.
