William White

William was born on June 20th, 1809 in Bruton, Somerset and his baptism took place there on July 16th, 1809. William's father was Robert Ames White and his mother was Joanna Whitaker. His paternal grandparents were John White and Ann Ames; his maternal grandparents are William Whitaker and Grace Armstrong. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Robert, Edward, UriahSamuel, Samuel, Daniel, John, Thomas and Elizabeth. He is the second oldest of the nine children.
