John Tembey

John was born in September 1883 in Cleator Moor, Cumberland. John's father is John Henry Tembey and his mother was Emily Menhennet. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Tembey and Sarah Thomas; his maternal grandparents were William Menhennet and Jacholiah Thomas. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Samuel William Henry, Albert, Eveline, Sarah Ann, Eliza Thomas, Christiane, Emily and Blanche. He is the seventh oldest of the nine children.
