James Salisbury

James was born in March 1890 in Preston, Lancashire, England.¹ James' father is Joseph Salisbury and his mother is Alice Birch. His paternal grandmother is Mary Greenwood; his maternal grandparents were Edward Birch and Ann Mayor. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Edward, Thomas, Joseph, John, Frederick, Ann, Susannah, Margaret Ellen and Alice. He is the sixth oldest of the ten children.
