Margaret Bailey's father was John Heaton and her mother was Grace Pilkington. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Robert, John, Jane, Alice and Bessie. She was the oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 31 on December 11th, 1909 in Grasmere Terrace, Penwortham, Preston, Lancashire, England.¹
