Thomas Heaton

Thomas was born on August 20th, 1815 in Penwortham, Preston, Lancashire, England.¹ Thomas' father was Robert Heaton and his mother is Mary Hall. His paternal grandparents are John Heaton and Ann Coupe. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Elizabeth, John, Robert, William, Jane, Ann, Mary, Peggy, Jane and Ann. He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 83 on August 14th, 1899 in 31 Kenmure Place, Preston, Lancashire, England. His burial was on August 17th, 1899 in New Hall Lane, Preston, Lancashire, England.²²

- 'On August 14th, 1899, aged 83 years, Thomas Heaton, of Preston, Lancashire. He was a member and senior deacon of the church of Great Avenham Street Chapel from its formation, and a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ for over 50 years. He was a quiet man of God, and a man of peace. He spoke loudly with his feet, and was regular and punctual upon the means of grace, living and walking in the fear of God. He passed away, after being confined to his bed only a few days, in perfect peace, and is now at rest with his Lord and Saviour, as many who love God and knew him can testify. We feel greatly our loss, and pray that the Lord will raise up others to fill his place. Further particulars (G.w.) to follow.'

Thomas and Margaret were married in a religious ceremony on November 23rd, 1838 in Church Street, Broughton, Preston, Lancashire, England.² They had a son and three daughters, named John, Mary Ann, Betsy and Alice.
