Timothy Joseph was born on March 25th, 1882 in Ackley, Hardin Co, Iowa. Timothy Joseph's father was Timothy MAY and his mother was Mary TOBIN. His paternal grandparents were James MAY and Betsy BRITEKIRK; his maternal grandparents were Thomas TOBIN and Jane CLIFFORD. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Thomas, James Theodore, Jack, Michael Francis, Lizzy, Molly, Maggy, Kate, Julia Ann and Gertrude Bernadette. He was the youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 48 on December 9th, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was buried in Mt. Calvery Cemetery, Salt Lake City, UT.General Notes
Tim was born 8 months after the death of his father. Mary May carried Tim for 10 month before she delivered.
Gertrude Bernadette MAY said: Born 8 months after his fathers death. (Poor Grandma carried Tim for 10 months before
he was born.) It worried Jack that the baby to be born would not have a father. There
was a neighbor family down the street named McGraw. Jack liked Mr. McGraw and
thought he would be a good father for Tim. His mother said that the McGraws were
lovely neighbors, but he had a nice wife and family already and could hardly support his
family.
