Michael Francis was born on February 12th, 1876 in Ackley, Hardin Co, Iowa.1 Michael Francis' father was Timothy MAY and his mother was Mary TOBIN. His paternal grandparents were James MAY and Betsy BRITEKIRK; his maternal grandparents were Thomas TOBIN and Jane CLIFFORD. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Thomas, James Theodore, Jack, Timothy Joseph, Lizzy, Molly, Maggy, Kate, Julia Ann and Gertrude Bernadette. He was the third youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 60 on January 4th, 1937 in Pasadena, California.2 General Notes
