Michael Francis was born on January 17th, 1877 in Smiths Falls, Ontario, Canada.1 Michael Francis' father was Francis HOURIGAN and his mother was Mary KENNY. His paternal grandparents were Michael HOURIGAN and Bridget MALONEY; his maternal grandparents were Thomas KENNY and Elenor PURCELL. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, Francis John, John James, Thomas Leo, Leonard Joseph, Elenor (Nellie), Bridget Ann (Anna), Mary Teresa and Veronica. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 81 on February 3rd, 1958 in Haney, British Columbia.2 General Notes
