FW ID # 18 showed he had 11 acres from Richard Kenny, in the Carnew area.
Lived in Kitley Ontario on the 1848 census, with aledged brothers, John and Nicholas\

Dave Allatt's notes say
1871 census lists Thomas Balfe Sr, age 69, born Ireland, R Catholic, Farmer,
married to Sarah Balfe, living with his wife and two children in Elmsley Twp.
Leeds Cty on Concession 3 Lot 13, owner, 200 acres. The children living with
them are Mary Balfe, age 13, born Ontario & M(?) Thomas (male), age 8 born
Ontario attending school.
1881 census lists Thomas Baulf, Farmer, age 76, born Ireland, Catholic, living
with Sally Baulf 60, Mary Burns 17, & Nickolis Baulf 87 in Elmsley, Leeds &
Grenville North Cty., Ontario.
